Radio Krishnashar FM 94 MHz is a community radio of the Midwest and Far western region located in Nepalgunj, the commercial city of this region. It is established by Campaign for Community Communication Nepal (CCN), an organization of journalists having academic background of journalism and mass communication, in 27 March, 2009 with inclusive ownership of people who have gained successes in different walks of their life. The FM is professionally led by energetic, qualified and experienced journalists of Nepal. With its 2000 Watt transmission licensed capacity, KSFM 94 MHz radio signal coverage has been reached more than 22 districts across this region (Banke, Bardia, kailali, Kanchanpur, Doti, Dadheldhura, Acham, Bajura, Kalikot, Jumla, Dolpa, Mugu, Surkhet, Dailekh, Jajarkot, Pyiuthan, Rukum, Rolpa, Shlyan, Dang, Arghakhachi) as well as various parts of bordering towns of UP, India. Our listeners are above 40 lakh. We have large network of F.M. radio to broadcast the Radio Program throughout the country. Since we are affiliated with Association of Community Radio Broadcasters (ACORAB), we can make national network with more than 200 Community F.M. as well.
The FM believes in usage of advanced technologies and appropriateness on radio programming considering the socio-cultural and commercial need of the communities. Krishnashar is an endangered wild animal found in Bardiya National Park of Nepal. It is also know as its ability to run in a fastest speed. The name of this FM is dedicated to protect and promote this species from the verge of disappearance from the world. The slogan of this FM is “Krishnashar jattikai tej” meaning “speedy like a Krishnasar”
